Journey Catamarans was founded in 2009 by two partners, Michael Clausen and Neil Riley, to develop a long range cruising catamaran. This design was to compete with the traditional trawlers by being more fuel efficient, faster and more stable. The concept succeeded with the launching of hull #1 in June of 2012, the 47 Journey Power Catamaran Long Range Cruiser. Journey Catamarans distributes the 47 Journey worldwide through an ever expanding dealer network. There are plans drawn to expand the line to a 63' version.
