Institute for Innkeepers is a state-certified program that offers courses for aspiring and current Innkeepers to learn how to own and operate a Bed & Breakfast. Institute for Innkeepers is a joint venture between Professional Domestic Institute and The Hideaway Country Inn launched in 2013. Our flagship Innkeeping program walks aspiring and current Innkeepers through every aspect of owning and operating a Bed & Breakfast, including managing the daily operating, hiring and managing staff, dealing with customer service issues, drafting policies and procedures, making sure the Inn meets all codes and regulations, as well as marketing using traditional and online methods. All students participate in classroom lessons taught by experts and receive hands-on experience at The Hideaway Inn supervised by experienced professionals.
