Innovesca, a food-tech company, naturally optimizes nutrition of underutilized plants grown in developing regions to create jobs and improve health. We develop processing technologies that unlock the inherent nutrients of whole foods post-harvest to maximize nutrient release and absorption. We source underutilized plants from Rwanda, process locally using our core technology to create value-added ingredients, and export to the US and throughout East Africa. Through industry partnerships, we enable nutritious products powered by Innovesca. While our technology can be applied to a broad range of vegetables, fruits, and grains, Innovesca’s first optimized ingredient is based on the leafy vegetable Amaranth—an underutilized superfood packed with micronutrients and found throughout Sub-Saharan Africa, South Asia, and Latin America.
