Indo American Center Careers in Chicago, IL

The Indo-American Center (IAC) is a non-profit organization with 501(c)(3) status that was established in 1990 by a group of Indian immigrants in Chicago. The founders, who came from various South Asian countries such as India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal, Bhutan, Sri Lanka, and the Maldives, aimed to address the diverse needs of the South Asian immigrant community in the area. Initially operating out of a single-room office, IAC focused on providing immigration assistance to the community. Over time, the organization expanded its services to offer a wider range of support in line with the founders' vision. To accommodate its growing operations, IAC acquired a two-story building located at 6328 N. California Avenue in the mid-1990s, which continues to serve as the organization's headquarters.
