Between 1997 and 2011, IES consisted of a group of electrical contractors. IES’ corporate vision was to achieve synergies associated with several other industry consolidations. In mid-2011, IES began a strategy to move away from the cyclical nature of electrical contracting towards strategic platforms with sustainable competitive positions or leadership positions.
