IABAS for Families (Individualized ABA Services for Families), established in May 2019, provides ABA (applied behavior analysis) services to patients ages 1 through 30. At IABAS for Families, we want families involved in every aspect of the treatment we provide their loved ones. We focus on individualized care for our patients, considering that religion, culture, beliefs, and ethnic customs can influence stakeholders’ involvement in ABA services and their understanding of ABA concepts, leading to how involved they are in consistently implementing evidence-based strategies. At IABAS, we aim to make individualized treatment plans for our patients that are agreed upon by stakeholders, allowing them to be involved, learn, and consistently implement evidence-based strategies taught in a family training session with our clinicians. With training and understanding of factors contributing to stakeholder involvement, IABAS for Families aims to train families to fade out one-to-one in-home ABA sessions over time.
