Hilbert College is a private, residential Franciscan college located in the Town of Hamburg, about 10 minutes south of Buffalo, New York. The college is named after Mother Colette Hilbert, foundress of the Franciscan Sisters of Saint Joseph, the congregation that established the school in 1957. Hilbert College is a four-year coeducational liberal arts college and currently enrolls approximately 1,100 students. Hilbert College offers 16 bachelor’s degree programs, including psychology, digital media and communication, criminal justice, forensic science, computer security and information assurance, and Western New York’s first undergraduate Rehabilitation Services program. Majors in criminal justice and forensic science are the most popular, followed by those in business, legal studies, human services, and psychology.
