About Henry Kaufmann Campgrounds
The Henry Kaufmann Campgrounds (HKC) has enabled hundreds of thousands of children to have fun-filled summers of outdoor day camp since 1953. Comprised of three sites - Long Island, Rockland County and Staten Island – HKC serves as home to JCC and YM-YWHA day camps in the greater New York area. Combined, we have more than 500 acres of land consisting of sports fields, open meadows, pool complexes, playgrounds and more. During the summer the sites are home to 14 different camps and 5000 campers and staff as we fulfill our mission of enhancing the day camp experience and ensuring a safe environment for the camps who call us home. During the off season, the HKC grounds are available for filming and to groups for recreational events and activities such as office picnics, festivals, fairs, weddings, parties, sports clinics and other special events.
