James Holmes came up with the idea for Handle It after helping an elderly neighbor with her weekly chore of rolling out her large wheeled trash containers. “I thought, ‘there’s got to be a better way to do this’.” Holmes, a former professional skateboarder, got to work on some concepts. The result was a proto-type that worked exceptionally well. He shared the concept with friend and fellow skater Curtis Marrocco, who just happened to have an uncle who was one of the inventors of the hugely successful “Stud Finder” appliance.
