For almost 35 years GNCDC has carried out its mission of industrial retention within a service area now spanning three major industrial corridors . . .Pulaski, Grand-Armitage and Northwest Industrial Tax Increment Financing (TIF) districts. A 501()(3) nonprofit organization it is a delegate agency of the City of Chicago’s Department of Housing and Community Development. Through visits, phone calls and email blasts GNCDC keeps industrial company owners and decision-makers aware of grants, loans, tax incentives and rebate programs to defray the cost of doing business. The agency also acts as a referral source for many nonprofit or private business, including - hiring and workforce assistance, maintaining an inventory of available commercial space for sale or lease, promoting programs and incentives to help businesses grow and prosper. It's membership base is heavily comprised of area manufacturers but its events and services are open and available to non-members as well.
