Granny S Garden School Careers in Loveland, OH

Granny’s Garden School was founded in 2002 by a grandmother who wanted to give children the opportunity to pick flowers. She began with a flower garden at Loveland Primary School - where her grandchildren were in the first and second grades. Today, with more than 100 vegetable gardens, a large herb garden, lots of flower gardens, a ¾ mile nature trail and an apple orchard, the little flower garden is now one of the largest and most comprehensive school garden programs in the country. It is located on the 24 acre shared campus of the Loveland Primary and Elementary schools attended by all of the district's first-fourth grade students. Though based on school grounds, Granny's Garden School is a separate 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization funded by individual donations, foundation grants and various fundraisers.
