Goodskills Literacy Corps Careers in Fredericksburg, VA

GoodSkills Literacy Corps is a state AmeriCorps program working to further the mission of Rappahannock Goodwill Industries (RGI) in Fredericksburg, VA and the surrounding counties, whose mission is "To provide to people with barriers to employment - particularly those with disabilities - an array of quality vocational and educational services so that they can work most independently." The GoodSkills program is aimed specifically at combatting low literacy, numeracy, and computing skill as well as to provide financial literacy services. GoodSkills utilizes 4 full time AmeriCorps members to perform direct service, working with RGI's Job Help Centers as well as the Central Rappahannock Regional Library (CRRL) system, by taking on tutoring participants as well as holding financial literacy workshops .
