In 2009 my husband passed away, and I decided to take the leap of faith and run Gold Star full time. Since then the company has grown significantly, and over time we began to add additional services, which you can read about on the following pages. I’m certified as a Medical Coder, Medical Office Manager, and Medical Compliance Officer. My staff of billers, billing assistants and consultants are simply the best in the industry, and I am very careful about who I recruit to join the Gold Star team. Each year I conduct “Billing Boot Camps” for new and prospective billers that spans several months and almost 100 hours of intensive training. As a result of this proven recruitment and training program, we have very little staff or client turnover. I travel quite a bit, teaching medical billing, coding and administration classes for State and Specialty Medical Associations, Hospitals and Physicians’ groups.
