Freestyle Depot (FD) was the first retail establishment catering to the needs of the young and growing freestyle scooter community; originally started as "The Scooter Resource (SR) Store" in 2006 as a web based mail order. In 2010 the SR Store underwent a rebranding and became the Freestyle Depot with the addition of a physical storefront serving the North County San Diego community.
