Four Stroke Design began as a design company doing Valvetrain and Engine modeling using Virtual Prototyping. Essentially, we design, test and analyze engines and valvetrain systems using 1D/3D simulation before parts are manufactured. This shortens the development process, reduces costs and makes Spintron and Dyno testing more productive. We can test 50-100 lobe profiles in a day while the traditional method of manufacturing forces you to test 1 cam (2 lobes) at a time taking days, weeks or months and increasing cost. With over 10 years of experience in Virtual Prototyping, we are currently designing successful valvetrain designs and engine modeling for all 3 NASCAR Series (Cup, Nationwide, Truck), ARCA, Grand-Am - Daytona Prototypes, American Le-Mans Series and NHRA Pro Stock. A large majority of the work we do is for professional race teams. We use CNC equipment to manufacture our own cam cores out of 8620, 9310, an M4 tool steel and machine the camshafts on a Landis 3L CNC cam grind
