Family Violence Appellate Project is the only nonprofit organization in California dedicated to ensuring the safety and well-being of survivors of domestic violence and their children by helping survivors obtain effective appellate representation. Before FVAP, no one in California provided free or reduced cost appellate representation to survivors of domestic violence in California. We fill this gap in legal services to empower survivors of domestic violence and their children to live in safe and healthy environments free from abuse.
