Fiber art for the wall. I am a mixed media artist living in Chicago. I create fiber collages and drawings by piecing, fusing, stitching and quilting both commercial fabrics and fabrics I have dyed, painted, or printed. My work has been extensively shown throughout the Midwest, and both nationally and internationally. In 2004 I was awarded an exhibition grant by the Illinois chapter of the National Museum of Women in the Arts. Three of my pieces hung in the American Embassy in Côte d’Ivoire from 20007-2010. My work has been in invitational exhibits in Germany, Switzerland, Australia and Taiwan. I am a Professional Artist member of Studio Art Quilt Associates for whom I am currently the curator of the exhibit Sightlines. The founding member of FAC (Fiber Artists Coalition), I also belong to SDA, WCA, and CAC.
