About Exegy
Exegy was founded in April 2003 to commercialize computing technology developed in the School of Engineering at Washington University in Saint Louis. Exegy first applied its hardware acceleration technology to massive data mining problems faced by the national intelligence agencies. Exegy’s first computing appliance performed exact, approximate, and regular expression pattern matching against textual data. In 2005, Exegy began developing real-time data appliances for the financial services industry, armed with executive and senior technical talent with experience at Bridge Information Systems and Reuters.
