The work of Evelyn McCorristin-Peters springs from a lifelong fascination and dedication to the natural environment. She creates to express commitment to the preservation of native flora and fauna in hopes of celebrating its diversity while documenting its fragility. Evelyn received a Bachelors Degree from the University of Delaware and has also attended The Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts and Ringling College of Art and Design. She has exhibited in National and Regional exhibits throughout the country including The Cooperstown Art Association 77th National Juried Event, and the International event America’s Parks – Through the Beauty of Art. She has been awarded artist residencies and fellowships including: Weir Farm National Historic Site, Zion National Park, Jentel, Dorland Mountain Arts Colony and Brush Creek Foundation for the Arts. Evelyn’s work is represented by Rhea Chiles’ Studio at Gulf and Pine on Anna Maria Island Florida, DeZion Gallery in Springdale Utah, and he
