Our History Endow was formed in 1978 by its principals, Thomas L. McLeary, CLU and Ann E. Smith, PHD, to provide insurance coverage for their corporate clients that could not be purchased through their primary life company, the Prudential. The business grew at such a phenomenal rate that Endow was incorporated in 1982. In 1982, Endow began targeting larger business organizations. Endows primary focus had been on professional corporations and the expertise of its principals was out-growing that marketplace. In 1983, Endow, Incorporated formed a joint venture relationship with Rummel Associates. Rummel Associates was a 46-year old property and casualty agency. Endow felt it needed to also provide professional services in the property and casualty area for its clients. Endow elected to form a joint venture relationship with an existing agency that provided superior service instead of forming its own organization.
