Our directive is to design, manufacture and market a new safety release systems for snowboarders trapped in deep powder tree wells, without complicating or taking away from the snowboarding experience. Deep Powder Systems spun out from a design contest to solve this dangerous problem of snowboarder falling into tree wells and then being trapped. Most snowboarder trapped upside down in a tree well are rigidly attached to their snowboards, unable to reach their boots to release the snowboard binding, most die of suffocation.
