About This Blog I began writing computer programs when I was 8 years old. Most of them were written in BASIC on an Apple IIc running ProDOS, with only a floppy disk drive for storage. Almost 30 years later, the world of computing has become a bit more complicated. Now, the programs I write involve ASP.NET, Visual Basic, Python, C#, AJAX, JavaScript, CSS, HTML, XML, T-SQL, SSIS, SSRS, Crystal Reports, SharePoint, etc. (And the list of technologies keeps growing.) However, one thing has not changed. I am still in search of the simplest, most elegant way to solve a problem, and I prefer not to reinvent the wheel whenever possible. Since these goals are not always mutually exclusive, I will share some of the discoveries I have made through my adventures in coding.
