Churning out dairy foods since 1918, Darigold is the processing and marketing subsidiary of the Northwest Dairy Association (NDA). With 12 processing plants and nearly 500 member/farmers, Darigold makes and distributes fluid milk, butter, cottage cheese, yogurt, and other cultured dairy products under both private labels and the Darigold brand name. Seattle-based Darigold offers its products to wholesale and retail food companies, as well as foodservice operators; however most of its sales are generated from selling dairy ingredients to other food manufacturers. Albertsons, Fred Meyer, and Safeway are among its retail customers. In 2010 NDA added Montana's Country Classic Dairies to the Darigold fold.
