The Converse EDC is a Type B Economic Development Corporation established in 2000 by a majority public vote. The Corporation is a nonprofit corporation, and is an industrial development corporation under the Development Corporation Act of 1979. The EDC is empowered to issue bonds, notes, and other forms of debt instruments on behalf of the City of Converse.
