Coney Island Prep Careers in New York, NY

Coney Island Prep is a school of firsts. The first charter school in South Brooklyn, Coney Island Prep opened the doors of its middle school in August 2009 to its first class of fifth graders. Our school was also the first to be located in a New York City Housing Authority public housing development, initially operating in just four rooms of the Carey Gardens Community center on Coney Island’s Surf Avenue.
