Established in 1991 by Sandy Seff, an artist working in stained glass, the company expanded to a main street location in 2001. Sandy specializes in traditional stained glass and restorations. She has restored L.C. Tiffany work and her restoration work can be seen publicly in various spots at Bayard Cutting Arboretum. In 2004, Sandy's daughter, Kathy, joined her mother full-time at the studio. Kathy comes from a graphic design background and currently still freelances. Her specialty in the glass industry is kiln formed glass and creating custom corporate gifts using a variety of techniques so as to include logos. Colorful Visions specializes in creating custom designed stained glass and gallery art glass. The work of the studio can be seen throughout Long Island's in fine homes and restaurants.
