The Charlotte Hounds (Major League Lacrosse) began play in April 2012 at historic American Legion Memorial Stadium, just outside Uptown Charlotte. With first year attendance just shy of 6,000/game and overwhelming support from the fans and community, Charlotte was selected to host the 2013 MLL All-Star Game. The team advanced to the MLL Championship in its 2nd Season, losing to the Chesapeake Bayhawks 10-9.
