John Cooney, CPA is a Partner with CL Search Group. John has been in the recruiting industry since 1980 where he specialized in recruiting Accounting and Financial professionals. In 2002 John started his own recruiting firm, after working for 20 years with two of the largest specialized recruiting firms in Southern California. Prior to recruiting John held several positions with Besam, Inc. including Vice President Finance, Controller and Internal Audit Manager. His initial experience started in public accounting with Pricewaterhouse Coopers (Coopers & Lybrand). John received his Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the State University of New York Albany. He is a member of the California Society of CPA’s, and the AICPA.
