Educating others about their own communication abilities and strengths empowers them to connect with others, share their own experiences and stories with others more vividly, ultimately contributing to our collective lived experiences. Through international education we are able to teach others about who we have become/are becoming while learning about who they are also becoming. We at once travel to and through countries, cultures, and societies, at times embracing them as much as we reject them, all the while transforming others and being transformed in ways in which we are not always cognizant through our shared lived experiences. My life has been filled with such experiences that have both directly and indirectly shaped my studies, research, and life trajectory. H
