Brokenpress Design + Fabrication creates Mid-Century modernized furniture. Brokenpress Design + Fabrication is the work of Alexander Dunham in partnership with his wife, Jennifer Bakija. Alex has fifteen years experience creating and building furniture and Jennifer has almost twenty years experience in design and marketing. For ten years Alex ran a general contracting company in Chicago and found his true passion to be in furniture making. Alex’s work has a mid-century feel, while still being modern for today’s needs. Alex is a long time fan of mid-century styling and no stranger to music. He has played music longer than he has been building furniture; playing in post-hardcore bands Hoover, Regulator Watts and Abeline. Creating handmade furniture from his original designs, Dunham’s work offers a modern take on Mid-Century styles.
