A national, not-for-profit organization, Battelle for Kids specializes in creating strategies that advance the development of human capital, the use of strategic measures, practices for improving educator effectiveness, and communication with all stakeholders in schools. At the heart of this work is an unwavering focus on accelerating student growth. Our team of former superintendents, principals, teachers, curriculum staff, and strategic engagement, technology, support services, and communications professionals, is committed to partnering with educators to address educational-improvement challenges. Created in 2001, through a partnership with the Ohio Business Roundtable and supported by an initial grant from Battelle Memorial Institute, Battelle for Kids was established to champion improved student achievement in Ohio. In 2005, we expanded our services to offer school-improvement services to educators nationwide. Today, we receive philanthropic, public, and private funds to support m
