I design and create unique, hand made mixed metal and gemstone, artisan jewelry. My expression as an artist is primarily through mixed metals. I enjoy working with copper and silver, particularly because of their malleability, healing properties, and the way they complement each other. When I was young, I was intrigued by earth science, especially fossils and rocks. I enjoy integrating fossils, unusual semi-precious stones, glass and sometimes found objects into my jewelry. My designs are inspired primarily from nature, as well as architecture, music, and even emotions. I believe the ability to create art is something that comes from within - an expression of the soul. I am greatly inspired by the beauty and “art” that occurs in nature, and my work reflects this.
