Java Backend Developer Job Description
Role Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Java Backend Developer to design, build, and maintain scalable server-side applications. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Java and backend frameworks, with the ability to develop robust APIs and work with databases and cloud platforms.
Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain backend services and RESTful APIs using Java (Java 8+ / J2EE / Spring Boot).
Collaborate with front-end developers, product managers, and QA to deliver end-to-end solutions.
Optimize applications for performance, scalability, and security.
Integrate with relational and NoSQL databases.
Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve backend issues.
Participate in code reviews, Agile ceremonies, and continuous improvement.
Implement best practices for testing, CI/CD, and DevOps.
Skills & Qualifications:
Strong proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, J2EE, Hibernate/JPA.
Experience with RESTful APIs, Microservices architecture.
Solid knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
Understanding of design patterns, data structures, and algorithms.
Knowledge of Git, Maven/Gradle, Jenkins, or other CI/CD tools.
Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
