This is a responsible supervisory position that involves administering human resources policies, programs, and practices: including planning, organizing, developing, implementing, coordinating, and directing. The Human Resources Manager coordinates the implementation of people-related services, policies, and programs through Human Resources staff and assists and advises company leadership about Human Resources issues. Plans, organizes, and controls all activities of subordinates while working in a fast paced stressful environment
Maintains human resource staff job results by counseling and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results
Facilitates annual performance appraisals and develops goals and objectives for subordinates
Acts as a liaison to company leadership providing assistance and guidance on Human Resources issues and initiatives
Maintains positive employer/employee relationships, coaches and counsels management on policies and procedures and solves problems through effective communication
Assist with recommending new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed
Assists with the development and administration of human resources policies and procedures for all company personnel
Rewrites job descriptions as necessary
Monitors and provides guidance to management during annual performance evaluation program to ensure consistency and equity
Performs benefits administration to include claims resolution and daily support to employees
Leads and participates in site recruitment efforts for all exempt and nonexempt personnel
Conducts new-employee and benefit orientations
Supports leadership with employee relations matters including but not limited to termination and disciplinary actions to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures and all laws and regulations
Monitors unemployment and workers’ compensation claims and coordinates work between employee and insurance carrier. Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 4-5 years HR management experience. PHR, SPHR preferred. Certification; additional equivalent experience in lieu of a degree will be considered
Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws and regulations
Ability to maintain highest level of confidentiality.
