Database Administrator Job Description

SoluStaff is actively recruiting a Database Administrator for our customer, a large government organization in Philadelphia, PA. The Database Administrator will be responsible for forming an evaluation of all real estate sales data sets, their condition and configuration, and subsequently develop a systems/architectural plan to improve the use and retrieval of these sets to enhance civil/real estate operations.

Requirements:

Migrating databases to new applications or platforms
Extracting and/or loading data
Managing, monitoring, and maintaining company databases
Maintaining database backup and recovery infrastructure
Knowledge of database design and theories
Knowledge of database structure languages, such as SQL or SQL/PSM
Experience with server installation and maintenance
Familiarity with database management best practices

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field
MCSE/MCSA certifications preferred
Experience with cloud services (Microsoft Azure, AWS) a plus
Experience with database technologies (MS SQL, PostgreSQL Oracle, MySQL)
One to three years of experience in database administration, database architecture, information technology or a related field
