Electricians are people whose work revolve around installing, repairing and control electronic systems in homes, industries and other public places.

Duties of an electrician:

• Install electronic systems
• Read technical charts
• Work with wiring and lighting systems
• Regulate electric circuits
• Repair electrical equipment’s
• Install ground leads and connect power cables to equipment,
• Diagnose electric motors
• Maintain records and charts for recordings of data’s
• Advise on hazardous equipment’s
• Guide on using electrical equipment’s
• Teach safety and precaution measures.

Work environment:

Electricians are supposed to work fulltime and sometime in weekends, emergency calls require them the most for safety and to avoid accidents.

Salary:

The average salary of an electrician is about $54,110 and the highest paid were getting about $71,430 and the lowest made $40,320, hourly they made an average of $20-to-$26. 

Requirements:

An electrician requires at least a high school degree and should be trained under a professional for years and should have an idea about the circuit and designs of electrical system they are handling.
