Generation z is the highest paid employees in Silicon Valley says comparably

In his recent interview Comparably‘s CEO Jason Nazar, says that their company conducted a study on the highest paid employees and the results shook them.
From the result, Gen Z, alias the recent college graduates made a six figure salary in technology and engineering, in which, women earned more than men.
“One set of qualities that sets the entry-level workers apart from previous generations is that they tend to care a lot about a corporation"s values and purposes”,
“They know that they"re coming into an all-time high job market. They know that these roles are extremely in demand, like engineering and product and design,” says Nazar.
With the study, they have brought down the Gen Z’s advantage over other generations under two factors Skillsets and Location.
Companies while recruiting employees have predetermined ideologies about skillset needs, whereas majority of them are available with the Gen Z because they are from technology background say’s Nazar and he also claims that “A new graduate may already have up to four years of work experience through internships or their own projects. To perform well in the workplace, it is important to combine high technical skills with emotional intelligence, which determines if an employee could work well with the team”
The second most important thing according to the survey is location, the highest paid employees were mostly from San Francisco or Silicon Valley. The reasons may be these places being a hub for top tire companies.
Apart from the above two, they also found that the average, 15 out of eight companies paid more for women employees then men. Companies are being more aggressive in terms of what they"re offering women, especially new grads, they want to make sure that they"re creating both pipelines of candidates and companies that have an equal amount of men and women on their teams.”, says Nazar.
The salary of some of the high paying jobs are senior developer $105,957, Lead engineer $103,237, Mobile developer $92,654, Data scientist $88,813, Product manager $87,947. In tech jobs Asians and pacific region ethnic men were getting high salaries in visual design Latinos were earning higher salaries.
With technology taking part in most of our lives, the growth rate of business and companies hiring skilled employees are also hiking. Comparably’s report have cleared a pathway for next generation workers to concentrate on skillsets and developing their knowledge in technology.
