Anti-immigrants in the US are unhappy with Indians, and this is the reason why

Indians in the USA are in the headlines for a wrong reason. An analysis carried out by the Department of Homeland Security (a non-profit centre that stands against the increase in immigrants’) by taking into account the recent entry and exit report shows that Indians top the list of visa overstays under the category “other.” Comparing to the number of Indian people who stayed back in the US after visa expiration in 2016, a 19.3% increment has been recorded after studying the stats of the same, for the year 2017.
It is the student and exchange visitors’ category that has accounted the most among all categories. India, China, Saudi Arabia, and South Korea nationalists have accounted for 40% of the student and exchange visa overstays overall.
To be honest, the numbers are not alarming enough to cause concern for the government. Although the report suggests that more than 700,000 people have overstayed in 2017, the numbers have come down by 5% from 2016. Furthermore, many of the reported people have shown a conscious effort in adjusting their legal status, while others have packed their bags to the home already. However, 420,000 of them remain dormant still, as far as leaving the country or making legal adjustments is concerned.
