The Senior Financial Accountant/Analyst is responsible for working with the Financial Controller to develop and execute the company financial and accounting strategy. This professional must be collaborative and interested in working with our financial and management team to grow our business. The Senior Financial Accountant/Analyst is responsible for maintaining financial record keeping and reporting as well as providing insightful financial analysis of business activity costs and potential savings.
Job Duties:
Manage aspects of the accounting function, including maintaining and closing the books in accordance with GAAP.
Work with the financial team to implement accounting processes, systems and procedures that insure proper internal controls needing for company growth.
Manage accounting, invoicing and required reporting for government projects/grants and customer contracts as well as tracked costs of internal projects.
Maintain cap table and report stock option / warrant expenses.
Perform accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll functions as directed.
Support accounting team through preparations of month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing reports.
Work with the Financial Controller as directed to support the Treasury function, including banking relationships, cash management, cash flow forecasting, and credit related matters.
Compliance reporting for secured debt.
Financial Reporting and Analysis
Present financial reports/updates to company management as requested.
Prepare analysis of financial and business results, capital spending, and expenses with comparisons to budgets and prior years.
Support annual budgeting process and update forecast on a monthly basis.
Prepare ad hoc financial analyses as requested.
Additional responsibilities as requested.
Requirements:
Bachelors degree required; MBA preferred, CPA preferred
Ability to work hands on, supporting the full range of financial and accounting functions in a small, growing business
