Oracle PL/SQL Developer Jobs in Preston Harris Group New York, NY

We are looking for an database developer who will be writing PSQL code; so you must understand schema, and have knowledge of XML. You are loading using Oracle. You are also responsible for gathering the data and will design and develop database structures, test, implement and maintain new and existing databases. You will create management methods, reports, and systems to access efficiently the information stored in these databases. You will report to the Deputy Director, and you will also work with consultants and other members of the organization to improve processes.

Job Duties:

• Provide technical design and functional specifications for ETL application, identifies data requirements, analyzes options and alternatives, along with evaluating the integrity of data and applications
• Design and develop, including coding and debugging, procedures/functions/packages/classes in ORACLE.
• Design and develop simple web based application using appropriate technologies for fulfilling user requirement for data loads, extracts, data dumps, and other utilities
• Design, develop and implement high level methodologies, relational database systems, and other capabilities to support web and client/server based architecture
• Write complex SQL statement for large scale databases
• May assist in the preparation of project plans and resource projections for all activities performed within the framework of a given project. This includes defining project scope as well as preparing work plans for the project
• Prepares status reports and attends meeting to convey project progress and targeted needs
• Makes presentations or conducts training on new or changed systems for both users and departmental employees
• Recommends modifications to development plans as requirements and needs deem appropriate
  
  

Requirements:

• Minimum of BS in Computer Science or related specialization
• 3-5 years experience in database development
• ORACLE, MySQL, SQL, PL/SQL, Java, Cold/Fusion, XML, JSON, Web infrastructure
