Responsibilities:

• The Sous-Chefs assigned to Six Flags Great Adventure have the responsibility of ensuring that their locations operate smoothly and profitably
• They are also tasked with ensuring that the food prepared under their guidance meets high standards of quality
• Oversee and aid fellow kitchen employees and interns in the back of house culinary department
• Establishing a well-equipped kitchen is crucial to creating delicious meals, and having a variety of tools and utensils can make the process far more efficient
• Collect all of the required ingredients for each recipe beforehand to ensure a smooth cooking process
• Supervise the process of food preparation while keeping a careful eye on the kitchen staff to ensure that they are fulfilling their responsibilities
• Try out different cooking methods and suggest innovative ingredients for a twist in your recipes
• Keep the wait staff informed about the latest specials on the menu
• Adjusting Recipes to Accommodate Dietary Restrictions
• The objective is to deliver freshly prepared, high-quality menu items arranged with utmost attention to detail for the guests' satisfaction
• The provision of amiable, prompt, and precise service to guests must be upheld, with the resolution of any arising challenges that may arise
• Ensure adherence to sanitation regulations and food safety guidelines as set forth by the Health Department and your restaurant's policies in order to guarantee proper preparation and handling of food
• Ensure that the units in the assigned region are kept clean and tidy at all times, monitoring them regularly
• It is of utmost importance to guarantee the security and protection of every team member and guest
• Make sure there is an appropriate stock level at every designated location
• Assess the performance of employees in the designated section
• Conduct thorough interviews and reference checks to gauge their soft skills, such as communication, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities
• These will greatly impact their ability to work effectively in a team setting
• Recognize areas that require development and establish processes for changing them; create and implement plans that are achievable and practical to enhance these areas
• It is essential to adhere to all the Six Flags regulations at all times
