Marketing Coordinator Job Description

The Send It Foundation is seeking a part-time Marketing Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate is a marketing/social/content ninja, ambitious and organized, creative and thoughtful, and loves to send it. We are looking to build the Send It team with someone who can bring the foundation’s marketing and communications to the next level to engage donors, community, and participants around the important work of the organization. This is a new position with the opportunity to grow and evolve. The right person will be able to put together a marketing strategy and execute from communications to social media, balancing big picture strategic thinking with logistics and detailed execution. We look forward to the addition of the right personality to join this fun and vibrant group to create lasting impact in the lives of young adults affected by cancer. 

Responsibilities / Tasks:

Social:

  • Work with the Development Director and Executive Director to create the Send It marketing and communication plan to increase its donor community base and spark engagement both online and off.
  • Coordinate the planning of social media campaigns to promote all marketing/development events via digital activity.
  • Leverage existing Send It social media channels to further awareness of the organization, its impact and its needs.
  • Set up tracking systems for email campaigns and online activities, and assist with CRM management and updates.

Website:

  • Oversee and implement website updates from the marketing, program, and development side of the business. 
  • Propose ways to enhance the effectiveness and performance of the Send It website, whether content-related, through use of keywords/phrases, modification or implementation of calls to action, etc.
  • Consider opportunities to improve the online Send It organic search position through SEO assessment and evaluation.

Content creation:

  • Create written content for social, newsletters, campaigns, and annual reports 
  • Develop new creative assets and collateral, as needed for marketing, program, and development activities.
  • Create content for social channels - including but not limited to IG, FB, LinkedIn, website, etc. (reels, TikTok). 
  • Coordinate with alumni community and program team to procure blog posts, stories, participant testimonials to incorporate into newsletters, web, and donor communications. 
  • Develop new and refine existing program marketing materials.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • A passion for and commitment to the Send It mission
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferred, or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years experience in marketing/storytelling/content creation
  • Must have social media savvy and proven experiencing using a range of most influential platforms, (Instagram reels, TikTok, etc)
  • Experience with CMS (WordPress) and email marketing tools such as MailChimp or Emma
  • Proficiency in data management and reporting
  • Organized, detail-oriented, ability to manage multiple projects with competing priorities
  • Skilled in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A self-starter and problem solver with the ability to take initiative and work independently
