Job Overview

We are currently seeking a highly-skilled, experienced Data Engineer to join our dynamic team in New York, NY. As a Data Engineer, you will be part of our IT Software department, working to design, maintain, and optimize large scale data processing systems, and building robust, fault-tolerant data pipelines that clean, transform, and aggregate unorganized data into databases or data sources.

Job Roles & Responsibilities

• Design, construct, install, test and maintain highly scalable data management systems.
• Ensure systems meet business requirements and industry practices.
• Research opportunities for data acquisition and new uses for existing data.
• Develop data set processes for data modeling, mining and production.
• Integrate new data management technologies and software engineering tools into existing structures.

Salary

The salary for this position ranges from $90,000 to $99,000 yearly, depending on experience and qualifications. The position can be on a W2-Permanent or W2-Contract basis and is full-time.

Qualifications

• 2-7 years of experience in the field of IT Software as a Data Engineer or in a similar role.
• US citizen, Green Card holder, EAD/TN, H4, L2, STEM, OPT.
• Experience with Java, SQL, Python, Big Data, Data Warehouse, and Data Stage.
• Strong knowledge of algorithms and data structures.

Skills

• Data Stage: Ability to utilize this tool to integrate and transform large volumes of data.
• Java: Proficiency in Java programming for building scalable systems.
• SQL: Strong understanding of SQL for managing and manipulating structured data.
• Python: Familiarity with Python scripting for data manipulation and analysis.
• Big Data: Experience with big data tools and frameworks.
• Data Warehouse: Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and processes.
