Staff Accountant Jobs in LCF Group New Hyde Park, NY

The Staff Accountant is supporting both the accounting and finance functions at The LCF Group, Inc., this individual will be a direct contributor on day to day accounting tasks and play a key role in reporting of companywide initiatives. The role will also serve as a backup for all accounting functions as required.

Responsibilities:

• Timely and accurately recording daily transactions in the general ledger.
• Accurately and timely recording of A/R customer billings and cash receipts
• Bank reconciliations.
• Preparation and compilation of monthly financial statements; examine and ensure the reliability and integrity of financial reporting.
• Processing wires, ACH, checks and making credit card payments.
• Supporting organizational requests that are accounting related.
• Creation and reporting of budgets at both the department and entity level.
• Providing reports requested internally and externally.
• Ensuring internal controls are being followed.
  
  

Staff Accountant Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• 2-4 years of financial, accounting and audit experience.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to learn quickly and manage multiple assignments.
• Ability to work with team members in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to conduct business with an enthusiasm, assertiveness, and work with highly confidential information.
• Basic knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping principles and procedures.
• Strong skills using Excel and other Microsoft Office software, use of formulas and formatting.
