Licensed Pharmacy Manager Jobs in Walgreens Simsbury, CT

As a Certified Pharmacy Technician (Lead) at Walgreens, you’ll be accountable for supporting day-to-day non-clinical pharmacy operations and driving a seamless workflow that results in exceptional patient experiences. In this leadership role, you’ll supervise pharmacy technicians and cashiers, train team members, and support operational excellence in partnership with the Pharmacy Manager and licensed pharmacists.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist pharmacists in prescription processing, patient care, and administrative tasks (in accordance with state laws).
• Oversee non-clinical workflows and ensure compliance with Walgreens’ policies and federal/state regulations.
• Manage scheduling, inventory preparation, and pharmacy recordkeeping.
• Assist with insurance claims, audits, and Good Faith Dispensing processes.
• Lead hiring, onboarding, training, and scheduling of pharmacy technicians.
• Provide coaching and performance feedback, including performance management and discipline when necessary.
• Ensure all certifications, licenses, and training requirements are up to date and compliant.
• Maintain active PTCB or ExCPT certification and required immunization credentials.
• Complete company-assigned training modules and support team development.
• Proactively seek feedback and growth opportunities under the guidance of the Pharmacy Manager.
• Relay key messages and updates from corporate and pharmacy leadership.
• Participate in team meetings and collaborate across departments.

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Active PTCB or ExCPT certification (except in Puerto Rico).
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail or hospital setting.
• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willing to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
• Willing to obtain immunization certification within 90 days of hire (as applicable).
• Previous leadership or people management experience.
• Prior Walgreens experience with a rating of "Exceeds Expectations" on the last performance evaluation.
