Lead Teacher Job Description
Job Duties
- Teaching 3–5-year-old (potty trained) children from Monday to Friday 9 AM to 3 PM
- Developing and executing daily lesson plans following the tenets of the value-based curriculum as documented in the website (www.srimacademy.com)
- Ensuring child safety during outdoor play time
- Treating children with love and compassion while ensuring class decorum
- Providing after care for children staying between 3 PM and 5 PM
- Receiving children in the morning when they arrive
- Sending the children when the parent (or person designated by the parent) comes to pick up after school
- Communicating with the parents on a regular basis on the child's progress
- Administering any minor medical needs of children during playtime (scrapes, cuts, etc.)
Required Qualifications:
- Degree/diploma beyond high school
Other desired (but not required) skills aligning with the pedagogical mission of SRIM Academy:
- Experience with early childhood development (child care, teaching, etc.)
- Alignment with the mission: Be aligned with the aspirational goals of SRIM Academy, namely, infusing and integrating Sanatana Dharma principles into the curricular activities.
- Yoga practice
- Music

- Gardening
Pay scale:
- The pay scale will be commensurate with the qualification and experience
- It will be competitive with respect to the compensation packages in Gwinnett area schools for the same qualification and experience
