Job Brief

In this role, the candidate will actively contribute to creating and developing management and operations services and web user interfaces. These interfaces aim to captivate users with their visual appeal, user-friendly design, and navigation.

Roles and Responsibilities

The primary role and key responsibilities of a Java Developer are:

• Analyzing, designing, and implementing business needs.
• Understanding, designing, and implementing data models.
• Integration and testing of back-end services and databases.
• Developing and testing software APIs and user interfaces.
• Working closely with stakeholders, management, and departments to identify and resolve technical issues.
• Deep understanding and expertise in handling Web Services.
• Proficiency in Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS) like Postgres and Oracle.
• Familiarity with version control systems like Git, CI/CD systems, and cloud platforms like Docker, Kubernetes, and GCP/AWS.
• Innate ability at identifying and resolving bugs and optimizing overall performance.
• Strong analytical skills to navigate through complex problems.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in multiple programming languages and databases like Java, Python, R, SQL/NoSQL.
• Adept at working in Linux and Unix environments.
• Ability to thrive independently in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Requirements

An ideal candidate should possess the following skills and knowledge for this role:

• A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years experience in the field of programming or software development.
• A strong understanding of Java programming and knowledge of the related frameworks.
• Proficient at translating business needs into effective technical solutions.
• Hands-on experience in working with remote data and data interchange formats.
• Familiarity with Amazon Web Services and PHP is an added advantage.
• Passion for solving complex problems through coding.
• Working knowledge of relational databases, SQL queries, OOD and OOP concepts, and UML. 
• Familiarity with industry software development standards, tools, and environment.
• Familial knowledge of Java/J2EE web application technology stack.
