HR Assistant Job Description
The essential duties and responsibilities of this position are summarized below:
- Reviews and verifies invoices and employee expense reimbursement reports.
- Makes accounting entries to charge expenses to accounts, cost centers, and projects by analyzing invoices and expense reports; pays vendors.
- Posts revenue from a variety of sources.
- Posts customer payments by recording cash, checks, and credit card transactions.
- Maintains accuracy of tuition accounts by posting tuition charges to, and payments from, parents and government agencies.
- Maintains vendor and customer files.
- Interacts with families regarding tuition and subsidies.
- Assists with collections on delinquent accounts.
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.
- Accomplishes accounting and organization mission by completing related tasks as needed.
- Reconciles bank accounts.
- Assists with processing of biweekly payroll.
- Verifies payroll deductions related to employees’ benefit plans. Page 1 of 2
- Provides administrative support and participates in other activities and special projects as assigned.
