About Us
Hammy’s Carry Out is a locally owned convenience and liquor store serving the Verona, KY community. We offer a wide selection of products in a clean, friendly environment. We’re seeking a reliable, hands-on Store Manager to lead our daily operations and team with energy and commitment.
?? On-Site Apartment Available: A private apartment located directly behind the store is available for the manager and their family to live on-site, offering a convenient and stable live/work setup.
? Key Responsibilities
Open and close the store and oversee all daily operations
Hire, train, and manage clerks and part-time help
Maintain inventory levels, place orders, and accept deliveries,Small Kitchen with Hunt-Brothers Pizza and Steak Hoagies
Enforce Kentucky liquor/tobacco laws and ID checks
Keep the store clean, stocked, and customer-ready
Handle cash, safe counts, register balancing, and daily deposits
Provide excellent customer service and resolve any complaints
Prevent theft and monitor security
Communicate with ownership and maintain store records
?? Who We’re Looking For
Experience preferred, especially in retail, convenience, or liquor store management
No experience? That’s okay — we’re willing to train the right person who’s eager to learn
Responsible, trustworthy, and dependable
Willing to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
Must be at least 21 years old and legally eligible to sell alcohol in Kentucky
Familiarity with POS systems and Kentucky ABC laws is a plus
Must have reliable transportation and valid ID

Starting Pay: $10–$12/hour, depending on experience
Weekly or bi-weekly pay
