Job Summary:
The Front Desk Person is the first point of contact for our guests and plays a crucial role in shaping their experience. We are seeking a professional, reliable, and customer-service-oriented individual to manage all front desk operations, including guest check-in/check-out, reservations, and inquiries. The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem-solver with a knack for hospitality and a positive attitude.
Responsibilities:
Greet and welcome guests with a warm and friendly demeanor.
Perform all check-in and check-out procedures efficiently and accurately, including processing payments and verifying credit card information.
Manage and process online, phone, and walk-in reservations, ensuring all details are accurate.
Answer phone calls and emails promptly and professionally, providing information about hotel services, amenities, local attractions, and directions.
Address guest inquiries, requests, and concerns in a timely and courteous manner, escalating issues to management when necessary.
Communicate effectively with housekeeping, maintenance, and other departments to ensure guest rooms are ready and all requests are fulfilled.
Maintain a clean, tidy, and organized front desk and lobby area.
Handle cash and credit card transactions with accuracy and security.
Maintain updated records of bookings, payments, and guest information.
Assist with other administrative duties as needed.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Proven experience in a customer service or hospitality role, preferably in a hotel setting.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency with computer systems and hotel management software (experience with specific PMS is a plus).
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to guest satisfaction.
Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
A positive and professional attitude.
